DK weight yarn (also called 11 wpi; 8 ply; no 3: Light) or Sport (also called 12 wpi; 5 ply; no 2: Fine) weight yarn 115-148g or 403-518 yards
Knitting needle size US 4 (3.5 mm) or size to obtain the gauge 4” x 4” (10 cm x 10 cm) = 24 sts x 28 rows (in stockinette stitch)
