Bulky (7 wpi; 12 ply; no 5: Bulky) or aran (8 wpi; 10 ply; no 4: Medium) yarn 100-125g or 110-130 yards in one or more colors
Knitting needle size US 10 ¾ (7 mm) or to obtain gauge 4” x 4” (10 x 10 cm) = 14 sts x 22 rows (in stockinette stitch)
Few sizes smaller needle for the decorations such as US 8 (5 mm), gauge not important
